I'm aware that fennel tea can help bloating in some individuals with IBS. I regularly brew my own from ground fennel seeds. I can't seem to find any capsules that contain fennel oil. Does anyone know of any? I know that Heather's peppermint capsules contain a small amount. I also know that fennel oil can be purchased for aromatherapy/massage. Does anyone know if using fennel oil to massage the abdomen is likely to help with IBS bloating?

don't know why it would help, but don't think it could hurt. Worst case you might have a topical reaction, like a rash, so use with caution and see how you do.
There are no fennel oil capsules on the market. We would love to launch that, but as a new product it is a huge amount of work figuring dosage, safety, track record, etc.
Until then, super strong fennel tea is the best bet for getting the concentrated oil into you for bloating/gas.
Best, Heather

Thank-you Heather. I'll give it a go and let you know the results. As I live in the UK it isn't affordable/economical for me to purchase your teas. Like I say, I do make tea from crushed fennel seeds. To get the required strength to be of benefit do you have any thoughts on how much fennel seeds I should be using per cup of tea?

Be careful about using it un-diluted. It may be very strong oil and could cause a nasty skin reaction.
