Hi. I have had IBS-C for over 2 years now and have experienced "labor pains" quite frequently over the past few years due to IBS. My GI doc. prescribed Miralax daily and I've been taking that for 2 years...it helped on and off; sometimes I think it causes "attacks" and I think Heather agrees. I have been using Heather's products (Acacia and Fennel tea) for about 3 weeks and have modified my diet according to her book/web site for the most part (no dairy, use of egg whites/no yellow, no fried, low fat)...so far so good. I hate to be too optimistic so soon, but I am! My question is about snacks...are things such as Honey Maid graham crackers and Fig Newtons, for example, ok? A list of common snack and other foods would be great if there is one out there. I have tried several recipes and like most of them but easy to grab snacks...that's where I need advice; I am a real snacker! I read about Baked Lays and Tostitos and pretzels, which is great but other "safe" snacks to grab at the gro. store is where I'm lacking at this point. I do read the ingredients but a cheat sheet for this type of food would be great. Thank you!

and it's actually right on this board! And yes, graham crackers and fig newtons should be fine.
Check here Snacks! for a great big long list.
And I'm so happy you are feeling better!
Best, Heather

Heather, you are a gem and a true gift. I will share your web site/info. with my GI folks as well as several other docs who have tried to help me.
