I assume the pretty refers to the dress, because the rest isn't all that great! Thanks for the complement. You are great fun, and I love reading your posts. It's obvious you are a very caring person as you are always giving great suggestions. You make my day with your funny posts. When the IBS is kicking up it helps to be able to turn to humor.

Hey -- don't sell yourself short, Girlfriend! You're a very pretty lady -- and I'm not talking about just the dress either. Sometimes we all need a good dose of self-assurance, and Joan I'm afraid you're about a quart low. You seem like a lovely person to me -- inside as well as outside. I appreciate your compliments -- they just prove how kind you are!

Whoops, sorry I led you astray, Chinagrl! I didn't like it at first, but when I started using only 1 Tbsp of it per 2 cups of water and adding my favorite creamers it was much more to my liking. Now I don't even notice that it isn't coffee. Sorry that didn't happen for you!

Marinana, I opted not to try the Rocomojo. My hubby suggested I didn't need a replacement for coffee, a constant reminder that I can't have the real thing. It's like decaf -- I switched from leaded to decaf, but it was only "second best," and I kept sneaking out to the local espresso stand for "the real thing."

I needed to learn something new and to give up my old ways. But -- that's just me.

Coffee is my biggest downfall - or I should say it was. I haven't had any coffee since 12/31/03! I immediately noticed a big difference in the way I felt. On the morning of 1/1/04 I drank chai instead of coffee and I did not have any stomach aches. One of my biggest challenges was finding a "substitute" for coffee - there's something about a nice cup of coffee in the morning, even if it's decaf! I actually joined the message board in late December just to ask for recommendations! Heather recommended that I try Oregon Chai. She said it was a little sweet for her, however I love it! I was lucky since I was able to find it at a grocery store near me, but I believe you can order it online. I make it with Silk Vanilla soy milk. If you do try it and it's too sweet for you, they have a reduced sugar version (I haven't tried this one though).

Good luck!
