I ordered Heather's book, Eating for IBS, and the Acacia Tummy Fiber about 3 weeks ago. I have followed the diet about 60-75%, not perfectly, and I have taken the fiber every day, slowly increasing. I am up to 3 t/day. I have also done a lot of praying, some mild exercise (walking), and made a very concious effort to stop panicking about my symptoms and just sort of roll with it.
I am THRILLED to report that today is one full week without D!!! Even when I did still have it for the first 2 weeks after starting the fiber, it was less severe and didn't make me feel as sick afterwards. The C is also much improved. I'm going to keep increasing the fiber dosage until I feel that the C has truly resolved but I am VERY happy to be so doing SO much better!! Just wanted to share.
