Hmm, I can handle well-cooked carrots just fine, but everyone is different. I always make sure I've got my soluble fiber down there, first. Do you take digestive enzymes? These can really help, bigtime. Get a good all-around type that will help with protein to milk sugar to veggies/fruits. I take mine right before I start to eat, and if the meal is larger than the usual, I take another one after eating.
But, everyone is different; perhaps carrots are just not for you, right now. Doesn't mean they will always be that way. I used to not be able to eat cauliflower or broccoli, but I can now.
Carrots are pretty high in sugar... maybe that's bothering you? I just don't know. Wish I could help.

and bloated but when I eat them slowly and not in such huge quantities like I like to do, then they are fine- and so healthy!
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
