Was wondering how mnay brits out there use fiber supplements and which ones. I use acacia fiber from this site, which i take morning and night. But Im interested in possibly getting some fiber tablets so i can take them before lunch. Im usually out for lunch and its tricky to carry powder out and about. Plus Im going on a ski holiday in a couple of weeks and really dont want to let my fiber intake drop or for my symptoms to worsen. my main symptoms which im still trying to get under control are bloating and gas, so i dont want to take anything that will worsen this. any fiber advice, much appreciated.

The only caps I found were Psyllium, which made my tummy bloated and aching and turned my poops near white! Perhaps (like everything else) I gave up too soon.
If you want to try them I'd be happy to send them to you (if I haven't already put you off!)
Is it normal for soluble fibre to turn your poops almost white? It's very scary!!! Shellsbells

thanks for the offer, but i think i'll stay well away from the psyllium! wasnt you that put me off, but I was on fybogel before and that contains psyllium and my body didnt like it! the acacia seems safe, tho its just a hassle getting it from the USA everytime...wish someone would open an acacia store near me lol

Me too! Just waiting for my first shipment of acacia. Hope it's not too disgusting to drink, those drinks are so hard to get down!

Hi - I don't know of any non-psyllium supplements in the UK, especially pills. The pills in the US (Fibercon, Equalactin, Citrucel caplets, and generic versions) don't seem to exist anywhere else. I do have it on my list to have Acacia made into tablets or caplets, so hopefully that will work out fairly soon.
Shell, no worries on having to drink the powder. It's not disgusting, it isn't even noticeable. It just dissolves into nothing - no taste, texture, thickness, grittiness, etc. It just kinda disappears into the water...
Best, Heather
