help! i read heathers website and i found that oatmeal is good for ibs-d. well, i have tried oatmeal (regular, instant oatmeal) and it went right through me. i found through expermint that oatmeal never agrees with me. why? is the type of fiber? is oat fiber different from lets say vegetable fiber? its not the gluten. i can eat bread and other things that ocntain gluten just fine.

Hi - Are you making the oatmeal with just plain water? If you're making it with milk or butter it might be that (or if you're making it with soy milk you might be allergic to soy). It is a little odd that it's just oatmeal that causes this problem. Usually oatmeal is a great safe staple for folks.
