Does Acacia have to be taken 2 hours before or after medications, as suggested with other fiber supplements?

Hi - the general rule here is that if a medication can be taken with food it can be taken with soluble fiber supplements, including Acacia. If a med must be taken on an empty stomach, then it shouldn't be taken with the fiber supplement.

A pharmacist is usually a good person to double check with if you're unsure.

Thank you. I have asked pharmacists about other fiber supplements, and they have always told me I should stick to the 2hr. rule even though all of my medications can be taken with food. It's a bit confusing!
