I'm confused. Safe or not? I see a green tea powder in a recipe. I really like Tea of Inquiry which is toasted rice and green tea. But I see green tea is listed with coffee as an irritant and yet there was an article on how green tea is good for the GI system in a newsletter.

Green Tea has caffeine in it, therefore is not safe for IBS. I don't know about the powder and cooking with it.

Green tea is very low in caffeine, so it can be drunk safely in moderation. If you're very unstable, you might want to avoid it temporarily until you stabilize, but the same could be said for fruits and vegetables.

Caffeine is not actually on the trigger list, but on the secondary "these can be problematic" list.
