How long should it take to poop???

I had my colonscopy on thurs, Oct. 30th and I haven't pooped yet. Had gas of course-always had that! I'm trying to up my ifber intake. But what is "normal after an colonscopy???  Mary

It took 5 days after my col to poop and another 4 days after that for my next bm. I guess you need to build up a little "stuff" before it's ready to exit. Don't worry!

Yep - and I'd add that you make sure you're taking a soluble fiber supplement, lots of water, easy to digest soluble fiber foods and blended insoluble fiber foods (smoothies, pureed veggie soups). And exercise - that will get your colon muscles back into gear and functioning regulary. Just plain walking will do....

For me too it took about 5 days and then rgular after that, in matter of fact I stopped having DD afterward and been stable since.Go figure?  But I'll take it.
