Heather my son's doctor's visit

My son, Brandon, saw a new doctor on Wednesday and the visit went well. The Doc finds it concerning Brandon only has a BM once or twice a week and that his tummy hurts alot. His doctor also knows I have IBS and GERD and understands why I'm concerned.
To make a long story short the game plan is to keep a diary of his food and tummy pain. His doctor also wants me to check Brandon's BM, primarily to make sure he isn't passing hard stools. I do know Brandon doesn't.
The doctor also told me to eliminate dairy from his diet for 4 to 5 days to see if that makes any difference. And the doctor wants to follow up with us.
It is encouraging to have a doctor who wants to follow up. Also is doctor his concerned I'm not getting enough calcium and wants me to follow up with my doctor.

Wow - what a great doctor! Hope all goes well for your son, Barbara.
That's what I love about my GI Specialist. Not only does she tell me to follow up later.. she goes ahead and books the appointment for me!
