Hi heather; i WAS JUST reading your latest newsletter about the new supplement, arcadia. it sounds really great! I WAS wondering how it would compare to equalactan, and also, some of us have the problem with our systems where, after we eat the food sits up inthe upper gi. it is really uncomfortable. Would you new supplement be able to help control that?

Hi Louise - the new supplement is acacia, and it works the exact same way Equalactin does, though the forms of soluble fiber they contain are different. Equalactin has some other ingredients as well (binders to hold the pills together, and flavors because they're chewable) whereas acacia is just plain soluble fiber with nothing added, and it's a powder.
I really don't about the sensation of food just sitting in the upper GI, or how/if the acacia would affect that. I'm sorry...

thanks heather; I have another thought. Some of us prefer soluble fibre foods over supplements although the acacia sounds like it would be beneficial to go with it(acacia.0 WHAT do you think Heather: would it be better to go with the acacia as well as the foods? sprinkling it on cereal is a go for me.

You can just stick to the foods if you like. I find it a lot easier to get more fiber with the acacia and food together, and I really like to use it when I'm feeling unstable, or I've gone too long without eating. It's also a good shortcut when I know I need some extra soluble fiber but I'm not hungry, and I don't want food (like late at night, or before a restaurant meal). Mix and match however works best for you, and combine them (like putting the acacia on cereal) if that's your preference.
