I am going for a Shillings test in the Morning does anyone no if there is any prep. or fasting before the test?

I can't find any info on how this test is actually conducted, but it looks like it checks for a b-12 deficiency and anemia. I would guess there isn't fasting or prep work on your end for this, especially if the docs haven't given you any info yet. You might call their office and ask them to be sure.

I tryed to call but it was to late, It is some sort of blood test becouse my body will not take in some Vitamins.(B12)

Hi Mike
look up the test online tonite, IE at Yahoo health or on a search engine. I believe that they give you something to drink and do a test on your stomache and duodenum, the part of your small intestine near your liver. Maybe a breath test or a scan of some kind. So you probably have to fast so that your stomache is empty. But I'm not really sure cuz I can't recall what I read about it, but it was online. I haven't done the test yet. Though I also have the B12 deficiency and have been taking sublingual (melt under the tongue) B12 pills every day, and we are waiting to see if that helps (my gastro and I). Good Luck
