Hi, all---
I was lurking for a bit. My name is Amanda. I have had IBS for 22 years---back when I was diagnosed, it was still called 'spastic colon'. So, I guess I'm an 'old-bie'. LOL. Anyway, I tend to swing back and forth between D & C, but my symptoms have been stable for the past 6 mos. I follow Heather's diet regularly, with a few exceptions. This is the best diet I have found! Luv, ya, Heather! I am co-cl of the IBS board on IVillage, and thought I'd branch out and visit this board. Nice to meet you all!

Amanda - nice to have you aboard. Don't lurk--speak out! What is co-cl? I'm pretty new to boards and not "with it" when it comes to the lingo.
I've had IBS since I was a kid, but didn't know it way back then. And, yeh, I remember the spastic colon stuff, too. I'll have to check out IVillage and see what's what.

Hi Amanda - How sweet of you to drop by! I still lurk on the ivillage board too  I even used you guys as a model for this board, because I wanted to have a friendly and warm atmosphere with helpful moderators.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. I've been meaning to stop by here for a while. When I get the time, I'm going to check out the recipe exchange, as well. I'm an avid cook, and always looking for something 'safe'. I also have some good IBS recipies of my own to share.
