Hi everyone,
I saw a gastro doctor and she started talking to me about Irritable Bowel Desease (IBD). Which as I understand it is like having ulcers in your bowel. Common symptoms of IBD are waking up in the middle of the night with the urge to have a BM and not being able to eat ANYTHING without getting sick. I was reading some recent and past posts and noticed that some people were talking about waking up in the middle of the night having to go to the bathroom and not being able to eat many "safe" foods common to IBSers. Just thought I would share this info. Some people might want to look into it. Also, feel free to share more info I need to be corrected.
Fortunately, I sleep like a baby, so the docs think that I don't have IBD.

thanks Olivia. IBD is very different than IBS, though symptoms can sometimes be similar. There's an IBD forum here for folks who have Crohn's or ulcerative colitis. And if anyone is wondering about the difference between IBS and IBD, and whether they have one or the other, the IBS Glossary is the place to look. Check here for all the info web page
Best, Heather
