I guess I should have done a search before posting! I found some helpful info. from other Canadians and from Heather about what works and what I can find in Canada.
Thanks a bunch!!!
Does anyone know if you can find Citricel (sp?) in Canada? I'm currently taking Metamucil, but I may as well just add sawdust to a glass of water (ugh). I can't seem to find Citricel anywhere.

Hi - As far as I know (and I've really tried to research this) it is impossible to find Citrucel in stores in Canada. I also cannot find an internet source that will ship it to Canada.
So sorry,
Heather

Hi! I did a search and I found www.medichest.com . They have a section on there about international orders. I did check and they definitely sold the Citrucel. Maybe they will ship it to you?
Good Luck!! Mags

Thanks so much for this! I've been searching for a site like this for ages. I have a call into these folks to verify that they will ship fiber supplements outside the US, but from their site it sure looks like they will.
And, get this - they carry Citrucel, Equalactin, Benefiber, Fibercon, and Fiberchoice! All fabulous supplements, powders and pills both, and they carry flavored/unflavored varieties of Citrucel.
To top it off, their prices look really reasonable.
We may have a winner!

Get Metramucil orange-flavored.

Metamucil is psyllium, and that's likely to cause bloating and gas for a lot of people. And the orange flavor usually has citric acid, which can trigger reflux in susceptible people. Metamucil is a really good soluble fiber - if you can tolerate it. A lot of people can (I have no problem with it at all) but too many others just can't take it. So as a matter of course I suggest people try some of the other varieties first.
Best, Heather

I hope this site does work. It's frustrating enough to have IBS, let alone knowing there's something that may help, and not being able to get to it!
Let us know as soon as you hear anything!

Thank you, Heather. I take orange Metamucil, but I do get bloated & gassy. So I shall try Citracel.

For Everyone's information, I am almost through my jar of Metamucil (ugh). Even though it tastes disgusting, I couldn't bear to waste it so I thought I would wait to order Citrucel from Medichest.com. I just tried to order Citrucel from their website and stopped when I saw the amount of the shipping! The 36 oz Citrucel was $23.96 and shipping to Canada was $21.89 - almost the same amount as the Citrucel. Over $40 US calculates to about a million dollars Canadian so I guess I'll have to order in bulk and stock up!
This is further information for all the Canadians out there who are sick of the pathetic fiber supplements in Canada!
