Are these things triggers for C? green olives, cherry tomatoes, croutons, Fig Newtons? Would refried beans (the canned kind) be ok? It is the fat-free kind with no oil in it, only spices. Shouldn't that be ok on a flour tortilla or with Baked Lays chips?

I used to be able to tolerate beans but lately cannot have them in any form without lots of bloating and gas. So don't know if that helps you on the refried beans idea or not? The other things sound okay. Good luck!

Olives - naturally high in fat but healthy fat - still a trigger Croutons - fried in oil Cherry toms - Skins are insoluble, also pips Fig Newtons - what are they? If they are like our fig rolls, then are ok Beans - again skins could be a prob.

It probably as the cherry tomatoes and olives in the salad I had (with lots of soluble fiber.) I hadn't had a salad in weeks and was craving one. Thought I was being safe, but I guess not. What, you don't have Fig Newtons (fig cookies) where you are? I love those. The problem is I can't just eat one or two.

I was just craving something Mexican, and this was the only thing I could think of that I might could have safely. I'm sure I will pay for it with gas and bloating tonight. I may have to sleep in the guestroom, but I sure enjoyed it.

There's probably a way you could make homemade croutons by baking them yourself instead of frying.
I don't have an exact recipe, but I'm thinking maybe take some day old French/Italian bread, spritz with a little cooking spay (to help seasoning stick), season, and toast in oven.
