Heather, I found a book on Amazon.com titled, "Irritable Bowel Syndrome and the MindBody Spirit Connection" by Wm. Salt, MD and Neil Neimark, MD? Have you heard of this book and what do you think of it? Has anyone else read it?

Hi - I read that quite a few years ago. Dr. Salt seems like a nice guy but I can't say I got much helpful info from the book. It's pretty psychological in its approach and I'm usually looking for hard-core information or tangible steps to take, products to try, and not a mental approach. I'm a little jaded in that area because IBS was written off for so many years as being "all in your head."

Check what the reviews are at amazon.com, and maybe other folks on the board have read the book. I certainly didn't think it was awful (and a LOT of IBS books are!)
