I put gluten back in my diet but I'm still eating dairy (I know, I know, I gotta STOP!) This was about 2 weeks ago I added back the gluten and stuff.
Last night I took Valerian. I read somewhere that it is good for digestion as well as anxiety/sleep/pain.
This morning I took 1,000mg magnesium (my doc. recommended up to 2,000mg but I am running low so I took 1,000mg).
I had a small glass of V8 when I woke up, and then I took the magnesium with a bowl of oatmela and Odwalla juice for my topping.
And I just had a wonderful BM! LOL
So....my Q is what caused it? Should I keep doing everything?
Thanks guys...
Love, Ruchie

Way to go!!! That's great!!!
Maybe it was a combination of the V8 and the magnesium....if you're feeling better then I'd say keep doing what you're doing....
Except....you should eventually cut out the dairy if you can....I can't say much though cuz I LOVE cheese and have a hard time not eating it too

That is good news! I think it was the V8. That helps me. You really should cut out dairy though, I know it is hard to do, but you will see the diference!

V8? I thought Tommy Toes on an empty stomach were a no no. I tried that trick one night before I knew this and erupted like Mount Saint Helens.

The magnesium gave me that wonderful BM this morning, then a bit of lose stool, and tonight major D with burning in the tush and all I'm guessing it's the magnesium. Now what do I do? Should I take it with calcium next time? My bod confuses me!
Thanks
*hugs*

Hey Ruchie,
Hope you are doing better today.
I think it was the magnesium. It is known to cause "D". Maybe cut down on the dose. As far as adding calcium, that could help. Calcium constipates me. Ask the pharmacist. They are usually very helpful.
I can't tolerate V8. If you had it before and it didn't bother you, then it's probably OK. The dairy might be a problem. I can have a little dairy but with a lactaid pill first.
Good luck with your BM's!
Hugs Barbie

if you take a pill with both calcium & magnesium (or two seperate pills..whichever you prefer) then you'll prevent pushing yourself over to D....I'm IBS C and that seems to work better than just taking the magnesium.....
Sorry you had D.....but look on the bright side....at least you're empty now!!!
