Is it true that tea causes gallstones? If so what are the facts? I absolutely live on mint tea as it helps relieve my spasms. If anyone else takes Citrucel powder what have you found to be the best way to take it and the most effective dose. Thanks for all of your input! Lauriea

I don't know about gallstones, but tea can cause kidney stones. Although the herbal variety should be safe as it's not actually tea.

Hey, I take citrucel clear every night. I take 1 large scoop full. Seems to work very well for me. I've also had my gallbladder removed yrs ago due to gallstones. I've never been a big tea drinker. Now I do drink Heather's peppermint tea.

I was a quart a day drinker of Ice Tea. Homebrewed. Then my galbladder went bad then I filled with kidney stones. I should say crystals. My surgon said no more Iced tea. I stopped drinking it and had my galbladder removed and my kidney pain stopped. Sure I have a glass now and then but thats it. The kidney stones were worse than any broken bone I have ever had. Now I drink water. LOTS OF WATER. Good luck, Derek
