Hi, Tom,
Welcome! I think Benefiber is a good choice until you get up into the higher dosages. It has about 1 gram of fiber per teaspoon, so when you get up to bigger numbers it takes more product. When I got to about seven grams of fiber a day, I switched to acacia because it gives me "more bang for the buck:" 1.5 grams of fiber per teaspoon. At nine grams of fiber per day, this means I need just two tablespoons total per day.
In a sentence, acacia offers more fiber in a smaller dose for a smaller price.

I, unlike everyone else, had problems with Benefiber it has Inulin in it - which Heather states can cause bloating... I was taking the chewable tablets 2-3 a day and it made my C worse...I stopped it and take citricul now... I am IBS-C...

Actually, Benefiber is made with guar gum, not inulin. Is it Fiber Choice you're thinking of?
I use Benefiber without a problem. It's all about trying things out and seeing what works best for you!
