For anyone who's new, here's the link to the original post outlining how this works. I find I'm far more likely to try something new if I sign up for it, so...

This week I'm trying HanSolo's CrockPot Chicken Cacciatore.

Thanks for starting this, Sand! I guess we've been a little lax the past couple of weeks. Alas, I think I'll pass again this week. I'm having a bunch of family up for the fourth and have no clue what the eating situation will be yet. Maybe I'll jump in later in the week once I figure out what's going on!

Yeah, I've been slacking... I actually haven't cooked at all for the past week!

Thanks for starting this up, Sand!

I know for sure that I'll be making TessLouise's Cuscus Estivo (Summer Couscous with Herbs) - that'll be part of my dinner tonight. The plan is also to finally try the Rice Salad with Mango and Chickpeas (and/or Chicken) that I posted some time ago, this weekend.

I finally decided that if I didn't play, I'd never try anything new, so even if I played by myself I needed to do this. That said, I'm glad you're in. I hope this means you're feeling better?

Hm. I might play along in the future.

I made Heather's chicken pot pie last night. I'd be glad to post a review when I have a bit more time.

I made Melissa's Turkey and Roasted Red Pepper Pasta last night. It was DELICIOUS. I am so glad I made way more than enough so that I can have leftovers tonight. YUMMMMY!

I'm still having D all the time, but since food doesn't seem to affect it one way or the other, I figure I might as well just go back to eating like a normal person. It's really been too hot to cook here, that's all.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your doctor's appointment is coming up soon. -nt- new

I am making Baked Egg Rolls tonight for supper. I also may make Alicia's Asian Rice Salad as a side. I'll post results tomorrow!

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband.

If you check the Recipe Index you can find a ton of crockpot recipes. They're in a number of different categories (Soup, Main Dishes, etc.), but they're listed by names that start with "Slow Cooker" so you can find them easily. One I really love is Kree's CrockPot Chicken Stew.

HTH.

I started out with all good intentions, but just didn't end up making either of these recipes this week. I'm still going to try the Cuscus Estivo, but the rice salad is a total no-go - I can't get decent mangoes, and I can't get tahini, sun-dried tomatoes, or soy yogurt at all.

Darn living in the middle of nowhere!
