ok everyone...i just made some chicken recipe in heather's book and it called for fish sauce. All I can say is YUCK!! I almost threw-up when I opened the sauce!!! I did continue to make the recipe but I could not get it down! How do you girls eat it??? Any suggestions?

Silly rabbit! You're not supposed to gulp down fish sauce any more than you would drink worcestershire sauce or eat a bowl of cinnamon. It's a seasoning.
Speaking of fish sauce, get (in the Asian foods section or market) a bottle of oyster sauce. Marinate a steak or chicken boob or pork chop in it (add garlic and wine if you want really yum) and slap it on the charcoal. It makes the most wonderful crispy glaze and NO ONE will guess how you did it.

i had no idea.
my mom made this once when i was sick... i'm sure we didn't overuse the fish sauce... she must have either skipped it or decided on her own not to add that much (the 1/3 cup). in fact, they usually only keep small bottles of fish sauce around (me, too) so she probably figured "ah, i don't have enough... too bad!)
'cause that recipe was great! i loved that meal.

Mags, is there a list of all the typos on EFI? Because I'd like to correct them right in my book so I don't end up in a situation like this. How gross!!
