Any food suggestions for me? Vegetarian.

I'm going to a chalet this weekend and need to bring safe foods to eat. I'm going with several people who are all bringing things I can't eat like pizza, chips, lasagna, etc. I wish I could eat and drink all I wanted to like them but can't... Any easy ideas other than the standard white rice and baguette? Thanks!

I know how tough it is to not be able to eat most of the things other people are eating! My advice would be to plenty of your own safe snacks like Baked Lays, rice cakes, and pretzels, and drinks like those little cartons of soy or rice milk and lots of bottled water. If your friends are bringing things like pizza and lasagna, why not whip up a safe version of those things for yourself and bring them along so you don't feel deprived?? It's easy to make safe pizza using soy cheese, and I know there are at least a couple of lasagna recipes on the recipe index. I know it's a little tougher this way, but believe me, it is possible to eat safely and still have plenty of food to enjoy! Good luck, and let us know how your trip goes!

Thanks for your response and the suggestions. It is very tough not eating (and drinking)the same things that most people can enjoy. People think that I'm a health nut because I'm vegetarian and partly vegan. It's becoming more and more out of necessity to my health more than anything. I love cheese and miss it!
I'm sure the trip will be a blast. I have a great group of close friends.
