I bought brownie mix from Trader Joes, (dairy free), baked them without additional fat and still got sick. Are there any IBS safe brownies out there?

Thanks.

There are a bunch of IBS safe brownie recipes in the IBS Recipe Index.

I think I'm going to try the Hot Fudge Brownies. Yum!

Hi,

A friend of mine has celiac's disease, and I wanted to make her a gluten-free dessert for her birthday, yet it needed to be dairy free as well for me. Another poster on this site recommended a health food store nearby that sells brownie mixes. So I went there and bought one and made them. OH MY GOODNESS -- they were sooooooooo good. The name of the company is "The Cravings Place" and they sell many different dessert options that are free of dairy, gluten, eggs, and nuts. The best part about these was the only thing I had to add to the mix was some applesauce and water and they were Fantastic! So easy to make, really low in fat, and IBS friendly. All night long the people at the party kept asking me for the recipe and when they heard it was gluten free and dairy free, they were so surprised. Anyway, I highly recommend this brand if you can find it at a health food store I'm actually going to have to go back there and get another mix because I want some for myself now, hehe. HTH.

No Pudge brownies are safe and fat free. They can be made with soy milk or soy yogurt or other things. They also can be baked in the microwave.

I immediately went to The Cravings Place website and scrolled down to the Ooey Gooey Chocolately Chewy Mix and when I saw the title, I was like, "ooooooh yeah" BUT then I read the ingredients and saw that it contains semi-sweet chocolate chunks and that would get me. Damn!

There are other things on there that look promising though!

When I don't have soy yogurt handy I make the Trader Joe's No Pudge Brownies with the same amount of canned pumpkin instead of soy yogurt and they taste exactly the same!!! I know it sounds crazy but it works just fine!

I found cravings place cookie mix at the HFS today but didn't buy it. It's 7 bucks a package. Too much!

The Ultimate Chocolate Pudding Brownies from the recipe index are the best thing on earth. My roommate and I call them Pile of Paradise. (I do leave the espresso powder out.) Truly, the best thing on earth. Brownies you eat with a spoon. Par. A. Dise.
