I just need to be sure if I have this right:
Okay, so when I start stabalizing (IBS-C) I only eat skinless baked potato, plain oatmeal, etc for about 3 days, right?
And then I only eat recipes listed here: http://www.helpforibs.com/books/efi/recipes.asp
And after that, I begin eating any ibs safe foods or recipes listed on the boards or any of heather's recipes. With maybe a supplement(if I can get any.)
And then I learn to gradually introduce IFS into my diet.
...Correct?

Nope. Eat the extra safe SF foods for a MAX of 3 days as you're C. Then you need to reintroduce IF, but safely. All the recipes on here on in EFI are fine after the first couple of days. And you should start a SFS (at a low dose to begin with) asap.

Ahhh. Okay, so: eat the boring stuff for over 3 days. Then get a SFS immediately starting with a low dose, and while Im doing this, I introduce IF ..And then start with the recipes and all safe IBS recipes/food.
I hope I have I right this time

...it's 3 days MAX! So 2 or even 1 day would be better than 5.

And after that 3 (or 2 or 1) days, start eating IF (safely) and that means you can eat all the safe recipes then.

Sounds perfect to me. If you check out the Break The Cycle FAQ page, you'll see Heather has some suggestions for gently introducing IF after your few days on BTC. (I love her breads, especially Cinnamon Zucchini and Pumpkin Apple Spice.) And as Linz says, all the recipes in EFI and on the Recipe Board here are fair game.

And I apologize - I think any confusion on your part is my fault. I got overly theoretical and talkative in my response to your earlier post and wasn't clear. (It's always amazing to me how the more I talk the less clear I am. You'd think I'd take the hint, but I certainly haven't so far.) I realized my answer made it sound like you had to get totally filled up with SF before adding IF - oops. Sorry.

Where you wrote "over 3 days", I read "3 days". Absolutely, 3 days max. Sorry again. Time for me to go do something else.

Oh, okay!! So I eat the boring food for 5 days, and then the safe recipes.

hahah. just kidding. i think i get it. SF only for NO MORE THEN 3 days, and then everything you said previously. I writing it down for future reference in case I get confused. Thanks.

Sand: No problem, I started understanding your theoretical explanation after summarizing it into simplistic terms.

I'm going to have to think about that one.
