Enjoy this week's recipe classic, the perfect morning comfort food for an IBS safe start to your day.

Comfort Food! Nutty Banana Peach Smoothie

Breakfast is often the trickiest meal of the day for IBS, for several reasons. Your stomach is completely empty, and you're probably a little stressed if you're in a hurry to get out the door. You may also be tired because you haven't gotten enough sleep, making your digestion even touchier than usual. This smoothie is not just delicious, it's also a safe low fat, trigger free, high soluble fiber foundation for your day.

I actually love this recipe not just for breakfast but for a fast snack. It's very flexible, so feel free to substitute apricots for the peaches, or oat/soy/rice milk for the nut milk. The Tummy Fiber gives a great soluble fiber foundation boost as well!

Makes 1 generous serving, easily doubled

1 small banana, or half a large one
1/2 cup unsweetened canned peaches, drained, or one small peach, peeled and pitted
1 cup hazelnut (or almond) milk
1 teaspoon Acacia Tummy Fiber
1/2 cup ice cubes, or as you wish

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Yep, it's that easy!
