Su, will they be grilling at the picnic? Because you could always bring along your own veggie burger or soy dog and ask them to grill that up for you instead. I did that last week at my family's fourth of july picnic and it worked out great. Also, you could bring your own pasta or potato salad... just use low-fat or FF mayo and if you use hard boiled eggs use just the whites. Finally, grabbing a bag of Baked Lays for yourself would be as easy solution.
