Doesn't white bread produce gas?       05/11/04 07:18 PM Edit Reply Quote clover Reged: 05/11/04 Posts: 1 Loc: Tokyo, Japan Hello, I am a Japanese woman living in Tokyo. I have suffered from Gas and Bloating for a long time. In the Heather's list of soluble fiber, I found FRESH WHITE BREAD(FRENCH). I don't know why it is so because all kinds of breads cause me excessive gas and bloating. Other web sites' articles say that all foods which contain wheat, gluten, sugar,etc produce gas, so that they should be avoided for not only patients with Celiac Disease but also patients with IBS.
