Question About Rice Krispy Treats       03/25/04 01:06 PM Edit Reply Quote Kimm Reged: 03/10/04 Posts: 1171 Loc: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Okay...this is the second time I've tried to make these things and I just can't seem to get the hang of it. I started by putting the marshmellows in a pot on the stove but maybe I had the burner up too high cuz they started to burn at the bottom. SO..I removed them from the pot, put them in a huge bowl and microwaved them instead. Then I added the oil. I added the cocoa powder and they were really fluffy and light. As soon as I started adding the rice krispies the marshmellow started to stiffen and were really hard to mix. I ended up with marshmellow all over me and some really sorry looking RKT's. I don't think I added enough rice krispies cuz it's really marshmellowy...but the marshmellows were too stiff to mix in anymore!! is there anything I'm doing wrong??
