Hi I am fairly new at the boards, however Yes even before my IBS my husband I and have Used Krusteaz mixes. They are wonderful. We have substituted the edd in the Belgian Waffle Mix and use Spectrum Naturals Super Oils, such as Canola Oil which is high in monounsaturated fat which is a good thing and can it be used at high temperatures with out burning. We also use other Krusteaz mixes, pancakes etc. making some adjustments like adding apple sauce to the batter and using less oil. Any egg which is required in these mixes we use egg substitutes.Breakfast was and is our first great meal of the day which gets me started right. I have my soluble fiber using acacia in my juice, bowl of frest fruit and then sour bread toast or on treat days waffles or pancackes. Dinner is still a time for hands to go into air. We love rice and have become familiar with all the varieties. Our Tiger Rice cooker is either cooking or on warm. However the standards we use are starting to lose there appeal shrimp, crab, and soft white chicken breasts cooked with vegetables with various creative sauces. Sorry to go off so far from your topic! but Yes they are worth buying and using. :o [color:red] [/color]
