But you're right, sometimes tooooo good. A little trick of mine when I need to grab something that is portable and doesn't need to be refrigerated is to make a rice cake sandwich. I put a tiny bit of peanut butter and brown sugar inbetween 2 slices, dump the sandwich in a zip bag and then it can go anywhere...and even if it doesn't get eaten that day it stays good for a long time. I think I had one in my car a week! I tried it and it was still fine. I've also carried those individual serving cans of tuna everywhere, and they can be opened and put on crackers/bread/pita/whatever. Bananas travel well as does the dried ones from the health food store. You have to keep it really simple when you're thinking "on the run" otherwise it may not hold up well...BTW, any of the brownies on the recipe board travel well as does Heather's breads.
