Freezing ground turkey breast

This isn't earth-shattering but I find it helpful.

When I freeze ground turkey (I freeze half a pound per package), I put it in a small freezer bag then flatten it out so it's about as thick as a fast-food hamburger. It freezes fast, the packages are somewhat stackable, and - most important since I'm not really a plan-ahead kind of person - it thaws quickly. I can also dump it right from the bag into the skillet without having to use my fingers to break up a big ball of meat. Once it start cooking a little it's a lot easier to break up the "patty" with a wooden spoon or a pancake turner.
