Replace fats with Fruit Puree Powder       03/20/03 08:23 PM Edit Reply Quote SharonMello Reged: 01/22/03 Posts: 996 Loc: Groveland, CA Hi - was going thru The Bakers' Catalogue (again) and found some Lighter Bake, a dried plum puree, 14 oz. jar for $3.95. I've been using Gerber's Baby Food Pureed Plums at $0.49 per 2 oz. jar. I'm ordering some of this dried puree and will test it in my "test kitchen" and let you all know the results (I'm going to make Heather's Peppermint Chocolate cake (w/o the peppermint) and some other chocolate recipes this weekend (along with planting 50 gladiola (sp?) bulbs, some red hot pokers and foxglove plants), pay the bills, etc. Whew!
