I'm not much of a chef either, but I've had a good barbeque tofu sandwich, and I know you can buy marinaded tofu at the health food store to make sandwiches out of. It's also very good in stir fry. Like Bev said, Tofu absorbs whatever flavor you put it in. This is why soy sauce tofu doesn't sound that good... soy sauce is just very salty to me! Good luck!
