Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Re: dairy products in pkg'd items

thank you to both of you! I did have some rice cakes the other day and it was an oops after the first few mini bites, they weren't quaker! ahh!! my last attack was last weekend.. i didn't know i had IBS til then. but anyway, i had to really play it safe this past week to calm myself down from that.. i'm getting a bit better by playing it safe!
so far i'm eating mostly rice, pasta and breads and small amounts of fruit or veggies. i'm afraid to eat salads yet as it was one of the things i had before my attack .. i guess i had eaten it first before some of the other things. but it was the chinese food and the icecream that sent me spiraling downward,.. i don't think i'll eat that chinese selection again now that i know what it can do to set me off so bad! though i never had problems before with that til then!
i asked because i really like the lipton spinach noodles and the annie's white cheddar organic pastas. they are great for quick meals and add some veggies.. but i guess not anymore.
or til i find out for sure what is going on with all this. i am supposed to see a gastrointestinal specialist soon to determine if IBS is for sure what i have.. but til then I'm sticking to this IBS diet cause its been helping.
i appreciate your advice! i'll have to find new favourites!
