Re: Double Decker Sweet Potatoe Pie       11/22/07 09:40 PM Edit Reply Quote hohoyumyum Reged: 05/28/03 Posts: 2263 Loc: SacTown, CA I used a hand mixer for the filling to get it nice and smooth, yams instead of sweet potato (I don't know if that makes a difference), and let both mixes sit for about half an hour before I filled the pie crust. I filled the crust about 2/3 of the way with the filling and then very carefully spooned the pecan mix on the top of that.
