To see if there is Dairy in something look for a P for paerve

The majority of packages have kosher markings on them.

It will have either a K or a U. Next to that will be either a D for Dairy or a P for paerve which means no dairy and no meat in it. You will find it on most food packages. Sometimes it will just have the kosher marking without the D or P. Then you have to check the label. If it doesn't have a D, most likely it is paerve or neutral (neither Dairy or meat).
