Hi!

The cook book I bought was Swedish so I guess that doesn't help you that much. I find it's quite difficult to get my head around this though. Like you I have tried to incorporate some of the ideas. I got blood sugar fluctuations that were pretty bad so I figured I ate too much white bread and white rice et.c. so I have started to replace some of it with cooked veggies like beets, carrots, squash et.c. Instead of having 2 white bread toasts with applesauce and a banana for breakfast I know eat 1 banana, 1 other fruit, like a peeled nectarine for example, 1 slice of toast with scrambled egg white and a few nuts. And I feel much better!!!

One problem with the paleolithic diet is that some say it should be low fat while some say it should be high fat, some say you should eat raw veggies and some say mostly cooked veggies. Some say lots of fruit and others say more veggies than fruit. I have heard from two people that they got bad bowel problems from following the low fat paleolithic diet so that can be a problem for us since we can't eat that much fat.

I am thinking I will try to replace some of the grain type of food with veggies and eat mainly cooked ones and eat as much fat as I can without going overboard. I am also considering trying a gluten free diet as gluten is one of the worst culprits with grain foods but that shouldn't be too hard. I'll let you know if I come across more good info on the paleolithic diet.
