Yep, like a stove-top skillet. Cast iron is seasoned, so it's somewhat non-stick already. With the potatoes/veggies tossed with oil, I don't have a problem with sticking, but if you're worried, a dash of cooking spray would work. I use the new Mazola stuff that's supposed to be just oil, no preservatives, in canola.
