Golden Gravy recipe

2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast (Red Star is best)
2 tablespoons pastry flour

3/4 cup water or veggie broth
1 tbsp. soya sauce (I use Braggs)
1 tsp. oil

1/4 tsp onion powder or granules
pinch of ground pepper to taste

Place nutritional yeast and flour in saucepan and toast until they are light brown and fragrant. (Not long)

Remove the saucepan from the heat. Gradually whisk in the water or veg broth, soy sauce, and oil until the gravy is very smooth. Then whisk in seasonings.

Cook gravy over med. heat, stirring constantly with wire whisk until smooth, thick and bubbly. Serve at once.

Makes about 3/4 cup

Good over potatoes, rice, biscuits or even veggies.
