Crock and stock pots!

She means stock pot alright- Heather mentions it in Eating for IBS, but it's the only recipe I've seen that calls for it. I've never heard of a dutch oven over here

For Will's Lemon rice pudding it's a stock pot you need which is basically the biggest saucepan you can buy- think the one you boil the ham in at Christmas, that should do nicely, check out your local Tescos for one, they will probably have them in again for Easter. Argos have a nice cheap one too here. it's 7.3 litres which is huge.

For the other stuff like stews and soups, it's a crockpot (slow cooker) that is usually mentioned in recipes. Check out Argos again. They have crockpots, our parents called them "Slow cookers" and got them as wedding presents but nobody over here seems to use them anymore!
