I say..... are you English, perchance?
What the heck is a stock pot? It sounds like you might be referring to either a Dutch oven or a crock pot.
Litres?! What's that?
Well, I have a Dutch oven AND a crock pot. They're both GIGANTIC. If you entertain a lot, then go for the larger size. Also, the crock pot itself lifts out so it's much easier to clean.
However, you're supposed to make sure the crock pot is at least half full, which I can't do on many occasions. I had a smaller crock pot but gave it away, like an idiot.
The larger pot is excellent for making soups and spaghetti sauce, but when I want to do tournadoes, it's WAYYY too big. If you can find a sale on 'em, I'd go for both the larger and the smaller sizes.
LOVE my Dutch oven; I use it much more often than the crock pot.
We did a kind of survey awhile back in which we talked about our crock pot preferences. Here's the first post in the thread, but be sure to read all the responses: web page
Lemon pudding and rice pudding, you say? Not steak and kidney pudding? Ew.
