For oven fries and baked potatoes, I like Russets best, then Idahos. For stews, mashed, stuff like that, I love Yukon golds. (Here's a thread a thread where LittleMinnie and retrograde explained potatoes so I finally understood why I liked different potatoes in different recipes.) I keep looking at the little fingerling potatoes - they're just so cute. I wonder how they would work in something like Heather's Crunchy Skillet-Browned Garlic New Potatoes. I also like sweet potatoes.
