Re: Need a recipe not on the list       09/23/03 07:21 AM Edit Reply Quote jules Reged: 06/17/03 Posts: 1140 Loc: Michigan This is the recipe for caramel that I used to make on caramel corn. I've subbed out the regular butter for veggie butter. 1/4 c brown sugar, packed 2T corn syrup 1T veggie butter 1/8 t baking soda Mix sugar, corn syrup and butter a pan over medium heat until well dissolved. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes (until bubbles reach the center) and then remove from heat. Add baking soda and stir briskly. Caramel will turn from dark brown color to a lighter tan shade. Careful to not burn the mixture while it's heating up. Pour over hull-less popcorn. So freaking good!!!! -------------------- ~jules Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
