birthday sheet cake

Hey all. I ran around trying to figure out what to do, as me and my beau both have our birthdays in the same week and were invited to a family party. They usually get a cake from a store which I could never eat, so we figured out a sheet cake recipe.
1. Make Heather's Peppermint Fudge cake, except make it in a 9 by 13 baking pan. Don't use the frosting. Cook it for about 25-30 mins, or until a cake tester comes out clean. This will be the bottom of the cake.
2. Use a Better Homes and Gardens recipe for white cake (go to and search for white cake, its the regular white cake), subbing soy butter for butter, and souring vanilla soy milk for regular milk). Add 1 tsp peppermint extract to the liquid of the mix when stirring, and follow the rest of the directions the same.
3. After both cakes have cooled, make a batch of 7 minute frosting(It's posted on this forum multiple times), and frost the chocolate cake first, then put the white one on top and frost that one). You'll need to keep it refrigerated for the frosting. You can get frosting to write with at the store if you want to personalize it... The white cake is the lowest fat one I could find.
** The peppermint makes this a delight to eat. It's funny that the chocolote cake is actually heavier, because of applesauce.***
