I've tried a couple of the donut recipes, and each time they taste weird and bitter. I'm guessing it's the baking powder -- the amount itself must be OK because other people have made this recipe and haven't had a problem. I use aluminum-free baking powder and haven't had any problems with it in other recipes. I tested it and it's still good. Any ideas?
