Hmm, well, by the time it was finished cooking there was no more odd colours, thank goodness.
But it wasn't brown-y red either.. more watery black colour.
I used 2/3 cup of vinegar - Adrian liked it, but I would definitely use a bit less next time.
For soda, I used Sprite.
Anyway, the chicken turned out really nice and even though the sauce was really thin (even after I added quite a bit of cornstarch) and quite strong, I would make it again.
I served it over Ramen noodels, they were yummy.
