put a piece of bread in your container with the baked goods...

My husband was in the military and I am the "queen of care packages"! I bake a lot for teachers and such.

Bake your brownies and once cooled put them in whatever container and add a slice of bread. The bread will absorb the "stale" and your brownies will stay nice and fress. I am not sure how it will work for the cakes...it's worth a try!
