Another baking/storage question

Ok, I'm baking for the holiday weekend. I'm leaving Thursday evening, coming back Monday, and I'd like my baked goods to last as long as possible. I'm making brownies and cookies. How long do cookies usually last? (They will probably get eaten fast once everyone joins us Friday). I think I'm more concerned about the brownies. I'm wondering if I should make those Thursday before work as opposed to Wednesday night. Would it make much of a difference?
